The SARO lathe is a normal semi-heavy lathe for mechanical workshops. It has a Φ 1,250 mm maximum machining diameter over guides that can be effectively used for unique works, small series, for universal machining, in driver plate, or between heads with longitudinal and transverse feed visualization.
The pieces that can be processed on this lathe are those with relatively large sizes and weights, such as: rolling mill cylinders, turbine rotors, rollers, etc. The maximum weight of the piece caught between heads, with support, can be of 10,000 kg and without support, of 8,000 kg.
